A vast sea of black-clad mourners filled central Tehran on Monday as the flag-draped coffins of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family were borne through the capital in a funeral procession, with throngs chanting for the death of U.S. President Donald Trump. The massive turnout, encouraged by Iran's theocracy, came as Trump warned that there will either be a deal with Iran or the U.S. will 'finish the job'.

Khamenei and his family were killed on February 28 in an airstrike at the start of the war launched by Israel and the United States. Their coffins, displayed on a truck decorated to resemble the ornamental grating that surrounds the shrine of an imam, were met by crowds calling for the death of Trump. Revolutionary Guard Gen. Hasan Hasanzsdeh, who is overseeing the procession, said the coffins will be taken through the streets of Tehran on a 12-hour journey to Mehrabad International Airport.
